Mohammed Bin Rashid Inspects Comprehensive Security Measures For New Year's Eve 2025 Celebrations In Dubai

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum recently visited the Joint Operations Room of the Events Security Committee, which includes 55 government and private entities. During his visit, a detailed plan to secure New Year's Eve 2025 celebrations across 36 locations in Dubai was reviewed. Present at the inspection were His Excellency Lieutenant General Talal Belhoul Al Falasi, Director General of Dubai's State Security Department, and His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs and Acting Chairman of the Events Security Committee, discussed the readiness of participating teams. He informed His Highness about the committee's capabilities and strict security protocols for major events. A total of 8,530 police officers and 1,145 patrols will be deployed by Dubai Police to secure celebration sites. Additionally, 33 marine rescue boats will be operated by Dubai Police and partners.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on preparations by Expert Major General Ali Hassan Al Mutawa from Dubai Civil Defence. A total of 1,097 firefighters will be stationed across various locations to ensure quick emergency response. Inspections were conducted on 257 vital facilities to verify their readiness and safety compliance during celebrations. Technically, 123 vehicles equipped with specialised gear are ready for emergencies, supported by comprehensive logistical resources.

Hussein Al Banna from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) updated H.H. Sheikh Mohammed on traffic management plans. The Traffic Management and Transportation Systems Committee will coordinate with the Events Security Committee to manage traffic flow, especially around Burj Khalifa.

His Highness also attended a briefing by Meshal Abdul Kareem Julfar from the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services about strategic objectives for rapid response to emergencies. Across the city, 224 ambulance points have been set up, including five on boats. A total of 593 paramedics and 29 supervisors are strategically placed to ensure quick ambulance support during the events.

The Corporation has allocated seven ambulances at Dubai Mall and nineteen vehicles with thirty-eight paramedics at Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard and Burj Khalifa. Additional resources include four first responder vehicles, four electric bikes, two bus ambulances, a Field Support Unit, and a Mobile Medical Store.

Medical Preparedness Amid Festivities

In Downtown Dubai's Boulevard area, forty-two volunteers supervised by paramedics are ready to assist as part of the First Responder programme. These volunteers are trained to handle simple cases effectively.

Khalifa Baqer from Dubai Health presented plans for prompt medical intervention during festivities at field facilities and medical establishments. An integrated field hospital is set up in Burj Khalifa area with seven medical points reinforced by specialist emergency doctors. Six hospitals and four outpatient clinics remain on high alert for emergencies.

Brigadier Turki bin Faris from Dubai Police provided insights into sub-operations managed from the Joint Operations Room along with available personnel and resources.

Ahmed Al Khaja from Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) shared details about New Year events in the emirate. With 175 events planned alongside over three thousand activities in restaurants alone, proactive plans contribute significantly to successful celebrations.

His Highness also inspected supply tents in Downtown Dubai offering services like lost-and-found assistance, first aid services, logistical support, care for lost children, visitor guidance among other services ensuring smooth operations throughout festivities.

The comprehensive preparations reflect a commitment to ensuring safety while celebrating New Year's Eve across various locations in Dubai seamlessly through coordinated efforts between multiple agencies involved in planning these events effectively without compromising public safety or enjoyment during this festive period.
