H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Crowns Winners Of Mohammed Bin Rashid Falconry Cup In UAE

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Falconry Cup's 'Elite and Cup' races concluded with intense competition. Organised by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center in Al Habbab, the event saw significant participation from across the UAE and beyond. The prize pool exceeded AED23 million, offering spectators thrilling contests and exciting finishes.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum honoured the top three winners in six elite falconer races. These races highlighted the rich traditions of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Falconry Cup, with over 200 falcons showcasing their skills. The event was attended by notable figures including Fares Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Adviser at the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Falconers’ Club.

The 'Cup' races are among the most prestigious in falconry, each offering AED1 million in prizes. The Sheikh’s Cup and Open Cup for young falcons were particularly anticipated. The Al Nif team won first place in the Sheikh's Cup with Helman clocking 18.409 seconds, earning AED500,000. M7 team's S 359 and Al Mehlal secured second and third places respectively.

Ghadir bin Ghadir Al Ketbi triumphed in the Open Cup for young falcons with Limitid recording 18.153 seconds. Abdullah Khalfan Al Qubaisi's falcon 281 took second place, while Hacker finished third. In the Owners' Open Cup, Mubarak Matar Al Khaili's falcon 11 claimed first place with a time of 18.491 seconds.

The Elite races offered prizes totalling AED1.35 million. The M7 team dominated the Elite Sheikh's Gyrfalcon Race, securing first and second places with Ramah clocking 14.529 seconds and T 139 finishing at 14.997 seconds. The F3S team took third place with B 64 achieving a time of 15.024 seconds.

The Dubai team excelled in the Elite Open Gyrfalcon Race as Tajouri achieved a time of 14.929 seconds to win first place. Abdullah Khalfan Al Qubaisi secured second place with his falcon finishing at 15.186 seconds, while Hamid Mohammed Al Tayir's Bayan took third place.

Rashid Mubarak Al Murkhan Al Ketbi praised the event for its role in promoting heritage sports and maintaining high standards. He noted that it inspires global participants to excel in a sport that underscores UAE’s rich history and strengthens national identity.
