Mohammed Bin Rashid And Ecuador’s President Discuss Enhancing Cooperation And Strengthening Bilateral Ties
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, met with Daniel Noboa, President of Ecuador, at Zabeel Palace in Dubai. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations between the UAE and Ecuador. Key areas of discussion included economy, trade, investment, renewable energy, sustainability, tourism, agriculture, and the digital economy.
The meeting was attended by several notable figures from both countries. From the UAE side were H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum among others. Representing Ecuador were María Gabriela Sommerfeld Rosero and Roberto Carlos Cory Pesantis.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed emphasised the UAE's commitment to building effective development partnerships globally. Under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE aims to diversify economic growth sources. This includes enhancing opportunities in renewable energy and the digital economy to support sustainable development for future generations.
Daniel Noboa expressed gratitude towards the UAE's leadership and people as they celebrate their 54th Eid Al Etihad. He conveyed greetings from Ecuador's government and people while wishing continued progress for the UAE. Noboa appreciated the UAE's achievements in various fields and expressed a desire to learn from its experience in development.
The discussions also highlighted shared aspirations for sustainable development efforts. Both leaders agreed on expanding partnerships based on mutual respect and common goals. They explored ways to enhance bilateral trade and investment flows while opening new avenues for cooperation in tourism, agriculture, renewable energy, and modern technologies.
Noboa stressed Ecuador's eagerness to diversify its economic partnerships with the UAE. He highlighted the importance of fostering practical partnerships between public and private sectors in both countries to serve shared development goals effectively.
