Mohammed Bin Rashid Highlights Family Stability At UAE Government Annual Meetings 2024
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, participated in the ‘Family Retreat’ during Day 0 of the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2024 in Abu Dhabi. The discussions focused on innovative strategies to strengthen families, ensuring their stability and values amidst global changes.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that families are the UAE's foundation and vital to its development plans. He stressed that family stability is crucial for national achievements and citizen welfare. "In the UAE, we are all one big family whose wellbeing stems from the stability and happiness of every individual," His Highness said.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasised empowering families, enhancing their quality of life, and maintaining their stability as key government priorities. While embracing global trends, he underscored the importance of preserving family values and traditions to foster a strong national identity rooted in heritage.
The retreat was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence; and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; and Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Development were also present at the event. The meetings were chaired by Sheikh Mohammed himself.
The gathering included over 500 officials from various sectors such as federal and local government entities, private businesses, and community institutions. This diverse participation aimed to foster collaboration across different sectors for comprehensive development.
The focus on family stability aligns with national priorities to ensure community wellbeing. By safeguarding family values while adapting to change, the UAE aims to advance its prosperity and enhance citizens' overall welfare.
