Mohammed Bin Rashid Meets Arab Finance Ministers To Discuss Sustainable Development At Fiscal Forum
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, recently met with Arab Finance Ministers at the 9th Arab Fiscal Forum. This event was part of the World Governments Summit 2025. The meeting included H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.
The World Governments Summit 2025 is a significant gathering featuring over 30 heads of state and government. It includes more than 80 international and regional organisations and 140 government delegations. The summit's agenda comprises 21 global forums that address key future trends and transformations. Additionally, there are over 200 interactive sessions led by more than 300 prominent speakers.
The Arab Fiscal Forum is organised by the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), International Monetary Fund (IMF), and UAE Ministry of Finance. It aims to develop efficient fiscal policies to tackle debt vulnerabilities amid tightening financing conditions. Discussions cover subsidy reforms, tax administration, and public sector enterprise reforms.
During the meeting, Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, joined the discussions. Arab finance ministers expressed their eagerness to strengthen ties with the UAE. They aim to benefit from its leading economic model while participating in the World Governments Summit.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the participation of Arab delegations, including ministers and key economic decision-makers. He emphasised the importance of enhancing cooperation among Arab governments to support sustainable development globally.
The summit will host over 30 ministerial meetings and roundtables with more than 400 ministers participating. It will also publish 30 strategic reports in collaboration with international knowledge partners.
Arab finance ministers highlighted that their involvement in the summit provides a valuable platform to explore global trends and best practices. This enables them to navigate rapid global developments effectively while addressing economic challenges.
This gathering offers an opportunity for knowledge exchange across regions, promoting sustainable growth as a priority for countries worldwide.
