Nikunj Bathwal, Director-General of the factory, attributed the project's success to the strategic vision and support from the Fujairah government. "This facility is more than just industrial infrastructure; it was designed according to the highest international standards, with sustainability, safety, and operational excellence at its core," he said. The plant uses advanced technology to extract quicklime from limestone.

Currently, the plant has an annual production capacity of 120,000 tonnes. Plans are underway to double this capacity by 2026 with a second production line, increasing total output to 240,000 tonnes per year. This expansion reflects Fujairah’s commitment to enhancing its industrial capabilities while adhering to global standards.

Mohamed Saif Al Afkham, Chairman of Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation (FNRC) Board of Directors, described the factory as a strategic milestone. It aligns with FNRC’s dedication to efficient natural resource use under the guidance of Fujairah’s leadership. He stated that FNRC aims to boost the industrial sector's role in sustainable development by supporting innovation and expanding market reach locally and globally.

This initiative strengthens Fujairah’s position as a leading industrial hub contributing to economic diversification in line with UAE Vision 2030 and 2071. Ali Qasim, Director-General of FNRC, emphasised that recent projects reflect innovative solutions driving sustainable development while fostering collaboration between public and private sectors.

The inauguration saw attendance from several officials who recognised these efforts as reinforcing Fujairah’s status as a destination for mining and industrial innovation on a global scale.
