Mohamed Bin Zayed Water Initiative Partners With World Bank To Combat Global Water Scarcity Challenges

The Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative and the World Bank have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to tackle global water scarcity. This agreement, signed by Ayesha Al-Ateeqi and Ousmane Dione at the World Governments Summit 2025, aims to enhance water security worldwide. The collaboration focuses on innovative solutions for sustainable water management.

"By teaming up with the World Bank, our collective goal is to pursue tangible opportunities to drive innovation and investment aimed at addressing the challenge of water scarcity for the benefit of current and future generations."

"Jointly we will be promoting sustainable water management practices in water-stressed regions around the world," he said. The collaboration will focus on innovations in irrigation, water reuse, and desalination.
