Mohamed Bin Zayed University Of Artificial Intelligence Opens Graduate Admissions For Class Of 2025 With Scholarships
The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) has begun accepting applications for the 2025/26 academic year. This pioneering institution, dedicated to AI research at the graduate level, provides fully funded scholarships for its M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in fields like computer science, computer vision, machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics.
MBZUAI ranks among the top 20 global institutions in AI-related disciplines according to CSRankings, standing alongside prestigious universities such as Stanford and MIT. The university aims to attract a diverse group of students from both the UAE and internationally for the upcoming academic year.

Prospective students should note that priority applications are due by January 15, 2025. However, late submissions will be considered until May 31, 2025, depending on availability and assessment outcomes. MBZUAI is eager to welcome what it expects to be its largest cohort yet.
Professor Timothy Baldwin, provost and professor of NLP at MBZUAI, stated: "We are excited for what we anticipate will be our largest cohort yet. Students accepted into MBZUAI benefit from a low student-to-faculty ratio of 5:1. This ensures they receive personalized guidance from leading experts in AI. The university's campus in Masdar City offers modern sports and leisure amenities including a gymnasium, swimming pool, and courts for badminton and squash.
The university's student population is growing rapidly. The most recent intake saw an increase of 47%, with 209 new students joining from 36 different countries. Among them are over 40 talented Emiratis pursuing advanced degrees.
Diversity and Impact
Since its inception, MBZUAI has emphasized diversity within its student body. Women now constitute 31% of its students. The university currently hosts 365 students from 49 countries worldwide.
To date, MBZUAI has graduated 212 students. Many alumni have chosen to stay in the UAE, contributing significantly to the nation's burgeoning AI ecosystem.
