MoFA And ADJD Collaborate To Enhance Marriage Contract Authentication Through Digital Linkage
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish electronic and digital connectivity. This initiative allows the Ministry to authenticate marriage contracts issued by the Judicial Department through its website and smart application. The aim is to streamline processes and provide integrated smart services, aligning with the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme's goals.
Users can now complete all authentication steps for marriage contracts entirely via ADJD’s digital platforms. They receive an instantly approved, electronically certified copy from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This certified document is valid both within and outside the UAE, ensuring quick, reliable service while saving time and effort.

Omar Obaid Al Hassan Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of MoFA, and Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of ADJD, signed the MoU. Counselor Yousef Al Abri highlighted that this move supports ongoing efforts towards government digital transformation. It aligns with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to develop innovative judicial services that enhance Abu Dhabi's global competitiveness.
Al Abri emphasized that offering MoFA’s authentication service for marriage contracts through ADJD’s platforms marks a significant advancement in speeding up procedures. It provides seamless, proactive services tailored to customer needs while continuously evolving government services using cutting-edge technology.
Omar Al Shamsi remarked that this MoU with ADJD reflects wise leadership directives and aligns with the Ministry's strategic vision. The focus is on strengthening government integration and developing comprehensive digital services prioritising people. He mentioned that the first phase of digital integration involves marriage contract authentication, with plans to extend this linkage to all documents issued by ADJD.
This expansion aims to improve service quality and enhance quality of life by ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. The collaboration between ADJD and MoFA represents a step forward in providing innovative solutions that meet modern demands.
The partnership between these two entities underscores their commitment to enhancing public service delivery through technology-driven solutions. By simplifying procedures and offering integrated services, they aim to meet customer expectations effectively while supporting broader government objectives.
