MoFA And Abu Dhabi Customs Establish Agreement To Enhance Digital Integration And Streamline Services
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and Abu Dhabi Customs have formalised a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement sets up a framework for data sharing and digital integration between the two bodies. The collaboration aims to enhance service delivery, strengthen partnerships, and expand cooperation in line with the strategic goals of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
The MoU was signed by Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi, Under-Secretary of MoFA, and Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Customs, at MoFA’s headquarters. The agreement focuses on developing a secure digital system for electronic data exchange. This system will ensure effective information sharing, robust data governance, and high-quality services that meet stakeholders' needs.

Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi highlighted that this partnership is crucial for supporting digital transformation and achieving the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme's objectives. He noted that the Ministry is adopting innovative approaches using artificial intelligence to create a smart digital ecosystem. This initiative aims to streamline processes, reduce time and effort, and eliminate unnecessary procedures.
Alshamsi further explained that this approach enhances government efficiency and service quality while improving overall quality of life. It aligns with the evolving needs of the community.
