Mohammed Shalouh, Director of Communication & Strategic Partnerships Department, discussed the significance of local and international partnerships in enhancing financial compliance and combating illicit activities. He stated that these partnerships help governments expand their impact, improve efficiency, and build public trust while tackling complex challenges collaboratively. Shalouh also highlighted the UAE’s Public-Private Partnership Sub-Committee on AML/CFT's role in facilitating information exchange through structured frameworks.

Husain Alteneiji from Dubai’s Department of Finance pointed out challenges in reaching all societal segments with financial awareness campaigns. Alteneiji showcased successful public communication campaigns by Dubai’s Department of Finance that accelerated digital government payments. These efforts led to 97% of government transactions being completed digitally last year. He confirmed that such awareness initiatives have steadily boosted digital adoption across the emirate.

The session concluded with agreement on the importance of effective government communication for promoting sustainable financial awareness. Participants affirmed that such communication builds trust between government and society while supporting the UAE’s path towards sustainable economic development.
