MODON Amplifies Saudi Food Industry With 1,300 Factories Across 36 Cities

Riyadh, SPA – In a significant development for Saudi Arabia's industrial sector, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) has announced an increase in the number of food factories within its jurisdiction to approximately 1,300. This growth is a key component of the "Food Industry Localization" initiative, aimed at enhancing productivity, boosting local production, and elevating quality standards across the board. This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's broader strategy to achieve sustainable growth in the industrial sector and ensure food security.

The announcement was made in anticipation of MODON's role as a strategic partner at the inaugural Saudi Food Manufacturing Show. Set to take place from April 30 at Riyadh Front, this event will be under the auspices of Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources. MODON plans to showcase a wide array of products and services tailored for the food industry, including logistical and financial solutions specifically designed for investors, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and entrepreneurs. These offerings are aligned with the national industry strategy's objectives and are part of MODON's contributions to the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP).

The Saudi Food Manufacturing Show promises to be a landmark event, drawing 500 participants from around the globe. The attendee list includes ministers, officials, leading local and international companies, CEOs, investors, and industry experts. The show will feature a series of discussion panels, workshops, and other related events. It aims to serve as a crucial platform for showcasing the latest services, products, and solutions in food industries and related sectors such as hospitality, packaging, and raw materials.
