Misk Heritage Museum Enters Long-Term Agreement With Art Of Heritage To Promote Saudi Cultural Legacy

A new museum, Misk Heritage Museum "Asaan," has formed a significant 30-year partnership with Art of Heritage, linked to AlNahda Society. This collaboration aims to showcase thousands of unique pieces owned by Art of Heritage, focusing on the "Saudi Way of Life." These artifacts have rarely been displayed publicly before.

Asaan will manage and exhibit Art of Heritage's extensive collection, which includes 57,000 ethnographic objects. Among these are nearly 3,000 pieces of jewellery, over 3,000 garments, and almost 40,000 photographic materials and daily tools. The collection also features more than 1,000 books and manuscripts, audio recordings and videos, centuries-old maps, and camel howdahs used historically by locals.

The museum plans to digitise the collection before its transfer to preserve its historical value. This digitisation will ensure the safeguarding and documentation of these significant artifacts. Additionally, Asaan intends to incorporate the collection into educational initiatives and community engagement programs.

Through this partnership, Asaan aims to strengthen the connection between society and Saudi Arabia's cultural identity. The museum will develop artisanal products inspired by the collection, further enhancing this bond. These efforts will help in preserving and promoting authentic Saudi heritage.
