The ministry found that some facilities were advertising on booking platforms without the necessary licenses, breaching regulations.

To address these violations, the ministry has directed travel and tourism service providers and booking platforms to remove listings of unlicensed or unauthorized facilities. These platforms must ensure that their listings align with the classifications provided by the ministry. Hospitality establishments are urged to secure or renew their licenses before starting operations.

Non-compliance with licensing requirements can lead to severe penalties. These include fines reaching up to SAR1 million, potential closure of facilities, or both. Additionally, violators may face public exposure as part of the penalties. The ministry's actions are aimed at enhancing hospitality standards across the Kingdom.

The "Our Guests Are Priority" campaign was launched by the ministry to emphasize adherence to licensing and classification rules. This initiative also encourages customers to report any issues with hospitality services through the Unified Tourism Center at number 930. Such measures are intended to elevate tourism service quality, ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for all visitors.
