Ministry Of Higher Education Establishes Youth Council To Enhance Youth Involvement And Leadership Development

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has established a Youth Council to enhance young people's participation in institutional work and government performance. This initiative aligns with the Federal Youth Authority’s Guide for Youth Empowerment in Federal Government Entities, demonstrating the ministry's dedication to implementing national best practices in empowering youth.

The Youth Council is designed to nurture future national leaders within the higher education and scientific research sectors. It offers young employees a platform to voice their opinions, share innovative ideas, and develop leadership skills. Additionally, it will facilitate initiatives proposed by young individuals at the ministry, enhancing their role in improving the work environment.

Comprising 14 members from various ministry departments, the Youth Council is led by Rashid Karam Jalal Al Kaabi, Head of the Attachés and Support for Scholarship Students Department. Mona Hassan Ali Al Shehhi serves as Vice President. Other members include Fatima Ahmed Obaid Al Hammadi, Saleh Saif Mohammed Al Ameer, Maryam Fouad Ahmed Al Hammadi, Jawaher Obaid Sultan Al Janahi, Fatima Salem Saif Al Ghafli, Mohamed Khalifa Mohamed Saeed Al Qubaisi, Israa Abdul Karim Abdullah Al Ansari, Aisha Nasser Saeed Al Mazrouei, Hilal Hamdan Saif Al Busaidi, Sarah Mohammed Saeed Al Mansouri, Naema Salem Saeed Al Marzouqi, and Lulwa Ali Mohammed Al Tamimi.

This initiative underscores MoHESR’s commitment to engaging directly with all societal segments, especially youth. By involving young people in policymaking and initiative development processes, the ministry aims to cultivate national talent capable of driving creativity and innovation while contributing to sustainable development.
