Ministry Of Health Issues Comprehensive Guidelines For Common Hajj-Related Injuries
The Ministry of Health is actively working to ensure the well-being of pilgrims during Hajj by implementing awareness campaigns and providing field services. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to improve healthcare quality under the "Health Sector Transformation" and "Pilgrim Experience" programs, which align with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The goal is to enhance the quality of life and ensure a safe Hajj experience for all pilgrims.
For the 1446 AH Hajj season, a multilingual health awareness kit has been introduced by the ministry. This kit is available in eight languages and offers guidance on managing common injuries like falls, sprained ankles, low blood sugar, nosebleeds, and bruises. Pilgrims are encouraged to wear suitable footwear and avoid slippery or high areas to prevent falls.

The ministry emphasizes the importance of adhering to preventive measures and basic first aid procedures. These steps are crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of pilgrims during their Hajj rituals. The ministry remains committed to promoting health awareness and delivering top-notch care to all pilgrims.
In case of an ankle sprain or bruise, it is advised to apply cold compresses, elevate the foot, and reduce pressure on the injured area. Such first aid measures can significantly aid in managing these common injuries effectively.
The health awareness kit also includes advice on handling low blood sugar incidents. Pilgrims are urged to follow these guidelines closely to maintain their health throughout their pilgrimage journey.
The Ministry of Health's initiatives reflect its dedication to safeguarding pilgrims' health by providing essential information and support. By following these guidelines, pilgrims can contribute to a safer and healthier Hajj experience for themselves and others.
