Saudi Ministry Launches Nusuk Wallet For Hajj And Umrah Pilgrims' Financial Needs
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (MoHU), in collaboration with the Saudi National Bank (SNB AlAhli), has introduced the world's first international digital wallet for Umrah and Hajj pilgrims, named Nusuk Wallet. This innovative digital wallet facilitates the management of money and expenses for pilgrims, supported by SNB AlAhli's banking infrastructure through its brand NEO.
Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, inaugurated the Nusuk Wallet in a ceremony attended by several officials. The wallet employs advanced technologies and encryption techniques to ensure the highest security standards for users’ financial transactions.

Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Maiman, Director of the Digital Experience at MoHU, highlighted that six achievements have been realised at both local and international levels with the launch of this digital wallet. It is the first digital wallet and international bank card globally, enabling Hajj pilgrims and Umrah performers to manage their finances during their stay.
Al-Maiman stated, "This innovation represents a significant advancement in technical services, combining modern technology with user needs. It integrates technologies such as AI, encryption, biometric identity verification, API, and integrated SDK."
Dr. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Furaih, CEO of SNB AlAhli’s Digital Ventures and Payments, confirmed that Nusuk Wallet adheres to the instructions of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA). This compliance ensures the highest standards of financial security and regulatory adherence.
Future Initiatives
The MoHU has expressed its readiness to collaborate with relevant parties on initiatives aimed at enhancing the experience of pilgrims. The ministry welcomes new ideas and solutions from private sector entities, inviting them to submit proposals via email: [email protected].
