Ministry Of Finance Hosts Workshop To Enhance Public Private Partnership Project Implementation Skills
The Ministry of Finance recently held a workshop focusing on Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects. Representatives from 15 federal entities attended the event. The workshop aimed to provide these entities with the skills needed to identify and assess suitable partnership projects, following the ministry's updated partnership manual.
Participants shared insights and experiences, examining successful examples from both local and international contexts. This exchange was intended to inspire federal entities to adopt best practices and make the most of available partnership opportunities. The workshop emphasised the crucial role of public-private partnerships in promoting sustainable development and economic growth.

The meeting explored ways to enhance institutional capacities and improve the skills of specialised teams for sustainable project implementation. By doing so, it aimed to raise awareness among federal entities about the significance of these collaborations. Practical guidance was provided for effective implementation, aligning with national strategic goals.
The Ministry of Finance committed to supporting these partnerships by providing regulatory and technical frameworks. This support aims to ensure success, build institutional capacities, and offer guidance at every stage of implementation. The workshop aligns with the UAE’s vision to boost economic competitiveness, improve quality of life, and strengthen collaboration between public and private sectors.
The ministry plans to conduct additional workshops in future phases. These will focus on enhancing understanding and developing necessary capabilities for achieving desired objectives. The goal is to support efficient implementation of upcoming projects and initiatives.
Federal entities were equipped with knowledge to prioritise projects eligible for partnerships. Emphasis was placed on those that will drive economic development and infrastructure growth in the UAE. Specialised teams within federal entities were also targeted for capacity building, equipping them with tools needed for preparing studies to identify, evaluate, and implement projects effectively.
The workshop's objectives align with strengthening community development and building a resilient economy capable of adapting to future challenges. By fostering collaboration between public and private sectors, mutual benefits can be generated, contributing significantly to national progress.
