Ministry Of Finance Unveils Four Humanitarian Initiatives During Ramadan To Support Vulnerable Communities
The Ministry of Finance in the UAE has introduced four humanitarian initiatives during Ramadan, reflecting its dedication to social responsibility. These initiatives align with the "Year of Community 2025," which aims to enhance societal cohesion and support vulnerable groups. The programmes include "Ramadan Mir," "Supporting Humanitarian Cases," "Inspired by Zayed’s Generosity," and "Eid Gifts on Us."
Younis Haji AlKhoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, highlighted that these community-focused initiatives demonstrate the Ministry's commitment to fostering a culture of giving. He stated, "These efforts are fully aligned with the pillars of the Year of Community 2025, which aims to enhance social solidarity and activate the role of institutions in serving the community."

The Ministry's initiatives not only provide aid but also encourage volunteerism and partnerships between government and private sectors. This approach contributes to building a more cohesive society. AlKhoori emphasised that these efforts aim to create lasting positive change by empowering beneficiaries and improving their quality of life.
The "Ramadan Mir" initiative was organised at the Ministry's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. In collaboration with the Family Care Authority and Emirates Red Crescent, over 50 volunteers distributed food baskets to families in need. This effort aimed to alleviate financial burdens on less fortunate families.
The "Supporting Humanitarian Cases" initiative was launched in partnership with Emirates Red Crescent. It focused on assisting individuals facing severe health issues and financial hardships. Contributions from Ministry employees helped provide essential medical aid and cover urgent treatment costs for patients.
In honour of Zayed Humanitarian Day, celebrated on the 19th of Ramadan, the Ministry initiated "Inspired by Zayed’s Generosity." Collaborating with several organisations, this initiative supported over 1,500 underprivileged individuals through Iftar campaigns targeting blue-collar workers.
Celebrating Eid with Acts of Kindness
Concluding its Ramadan activities, the Ministry organised the "Eid Gifts on Us" initiative in Dubai. Partnering with Rashid Centre for People of Determination, this programme brought joy to 50 individuals registered with the centre during Eid Al Fitr. It reinforced values of community support and inclusion.
The Ministry's efforts reflect a holistic vision inspired by solidarity and humanity values championed by UAE leadership. These initiatives aim to empower communities while promoting a spirit of compassion deeply rooted in UAE culture.
