Ministry Of Finance Unveils New Steps Towards A 'Zero Bureaucracy' Future
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has introduced several innovative initiatives under the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. These include the Zero Bureaucracy Ideas Award and brainstorming workshops, aimed at enhancing customer experience by improving current procedures.
Younis Haji Al Khoori, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, stated, "We are committed to introducing new initiatives under the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme to boost the involvement of MoF’s employees and customers in improving the quality and speed of government services." He highlighted that these efforts align with the UAE government's vision for efficient and rapid service delivery.

The Ministry has actively involved its employees in this programme. They are encouraged to participate in workshops and brainstorming sessions to review and enhance existing procedures. This engagement aims to increase the efficiency and speed of services provided to customers.
To further motivate staff, the Ministry launched the Zero Bureaucracy Ideas Award. This initiative recognises employees' innovative ideas that streamline government processes. It underscores their crucial role as partners in sustainable development.
The award is more than a competition; it involves staff members in improving government performance. Employees can engage at various stages of the programme, submit proposals via a dedicated link, and have their ideas evaluated by specialists.
Encouraging Creativity and Innovation
Al Khoori emphasised that all ideas from these initiatives will be assessed by experts. The most effective ones aligning with programme objectives will be adopted. He noted that launching the award and involving employees in workshops highlights the Ministry’s commitment to fostering creativity and innovation.
The Ministry's website features a "Zero Bureaucracy" page providing detailed information about the programme. It includes a link inviting all customer groups interacting with Ministry services to share their ideas for service development, encouraging participation in decision-making processes.
Customer Participation
This webpage allows customers to suggest improvements, ensuring their involvement in transforming services. All proposals are collected, analysed, and smart ideas are implemented to enhance service delivery.
The Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme is a strategic national effort aimed at simplifying government procedures. It seeks to eliminate unnecessary requirements, aligning with the UAE's vision for fast and effective community services.
These initiatives are expected to significantly contribute to advancing the 'We UAE 2031' vision and achieving 'UAE Centennial 2071' goals. The Ministry remains confident that these efforts will play a vital role in enhancing government operations and customer experience.
