Ministry Of Finance Engages Indonesian Delegation On Best Government Practices And Digital Transformation
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) recently hosted a delegation from Indonesia's Executive Leadership Programme. This visit aimed to exchange insights on digital transformation in government services, financial planning, and budgeting methods. The delegation engaged in discussions led by Mariam Mohammed Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Government Financial Management, alongside department directors, to explore the Ministry's advanced public financial management strategies.
During the visit, the Ministry shared its strategic goals for 2023–2026. These focus on fiscal sustainability, enhancing national financial resilience, and fostering innovation. The Ministry also highlighted its achievements in global competitiveness through agile performance measures. These efforts align with the UAE's vision for future growth and development.

The presentations showcased the Ministry’s award-winning digital initiatives. These include complete automation of internal operations and a 95% customer satisfaction rate via digital channels. Service delivery times have been reduced by 70%. The Ministry adheres to top cybersecurity standards and uses a centralised data lake for robust governance. Predictive analytics support decision-making and transparency, aligning with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ Vision.
Al Amiri emphasised the importance of knowledge partnerships for advancing government institutions. She stated that such collaborations reflect the UAE’s commitment to innovative approaches in public financial management. This positions the UAE as a global model in this field.
The MoF shared its experience in data-driven financial forecasting for efficient resource allocation. It highlighted collaborations with international bodies like the IMF, World Bank, and ACCA. These partnerships reinforce the UAE’s role as a hub for smart public finance innovations on global platforms.
Al Amiri remarked: "At the Ministry of Finance, we are committed to fostering an advanced financial environment that adopts international best practices, underpinned by innovation and digital transformation in all operations.
