Ministry Of Energy And Infrastructure Showcases Latest Innovations In Construction At Big 5 Global Event
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) is actively participating in the Big 5 Global event, a major gathering for the construction industry in the region. The Ministry is showcasing cutting-edge solutions that support sustainable infrastructure, such as AI applications in project management and technologies that improve energy and water efficiency.
Hassan Mohammed Al Mansouri, Under-Secretary for Infrastructure and Transport Affairs at MoEI, emphasised the Ministry's dedication to adopting world-class construction practices. He highlighted their focus on fostering partnerships with the private sector to enhance these efforts.

Al Mansouri stated, "Our participation in Big 5 Global is in line with our keenness to boost cooperation and share experiences with leaders in the construction and infrastructure sectors. We strive to sustain the sector and the environment and cut emissions from the construction sector through national initiatives. These include the 'UAE National Guide for Smart Construction', a comprehensive guide designed to standardise smart construction practices across all new projects thus ensuring that smart technologies and digital designs lead the way in the construction industry."
The Ministry has also introduced extensive sustainability guidelines applicable to various sectors like roads, buildings, maintenance, operations, and housing. These guidelines aim to enhance national infrastructure comprehensively.
A notable project is the 3D Digital Twin platform. This innovative tool maps urban infrastructure, allowing precise planning and significant improvements in city livability and sustainability.
Al Mansouri pointed out that the UAE boasts one of the world's most advanced and sustainable infrastructures. The country also has a top-tier federal road network that effectively meets increasing land transport demands.
The Ministry's efforts are geared towards sustaining both infrastructure development and environmental conservation. By implementing these initiatives, they aim to reduce emissions from construction activities significantly.
