Ministry Of Energy And Airbus Co-Host Session To Enhance Sustainable Aviation Fuel Ecosystem In UAE

The Executive Committee Networking Breakfast at Dubai Airshow 2025 was co-hosted by Eng. Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, and Gabriel Semelas, President of Airbus Africa and the Middle East. This event united key figures from the UAE's Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Low-Carbon Aviation Fuel (LCAF) Committee, including government bodies, regulators, airlines, fuel producers, and industry partners.

The breakfast session aimed to enhance cooperation within the UAE's SAF and LCAF ecosystem. The focus was on aligning efforts to advance aviation decarbonisation. Eng. Al Olama emphasised the UAE's role in shaping aviation's future through sustainability initiatives. He stated that this gathering exemplifies the UAE’s strategy of uniting public and private stakeholders to boost SAF availability and long-term low-carbon fuel solutions.
