Ministry Of Islamic Affairs Partners With North Macedonia's Islamic Union In Historic MoU

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, along with the Presidency of the Islamic Union of North Macedonia, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Skopje. The agreement was formalised by Sheikh Dr. Awad bin Sabti Al-Anazi and Mufti Sheikh Hafiz Şakir Efendi Fetahu. Saudi Ambassador to Albania, Faisal bin Ghazi Hifzi, attended the event with several Macedonian officials and media representatives.

The MoU aims to enhance religious and cultural ties between the two parties through various initiatives. It includes provisions for mutual visits and collaboration in related fields. This cooperation will help introduce Islam and clarify its virtues and tolerance through research exchanges, books, and scientific publications.

Historic MoU Signed for Islamic Cooperation

Another significant aspect of the MoU is the organisation of joint exhibitions to promote Islam. Both parties will participate in Islamic conferences and seminars, implementing recommendations from these events. This initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings.

Collaboration on mosque maintenance is a key component of the MoU. The agreement includes plans to exchange experiences in training mosque employees. Joint workshops on mosque architecture and maintenance will also be held to improve the upkeep of mosques.

The MoU also addresses serving the Holy Qur'an and the Prophet’s Sunnah by exchanging experiences in Qur'an printing and translation. Copies of publications from the King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex will be provided as part of this collaboration.

Joint Training Courses

Holding scientific seminars and joint training courses for Islamic affairs workers is another crucial element of the MoU. These activities aim to enhance the skills and knowledge of those involved in Islamic affairs, promoting better understanding and implementation of Islamic teachings.

The agreement further includes exchanging invitations to participate in Qur'an memorization and recitation competitions. Sharing rules, regulations, and experiences related to Qur'an manuscripts is also part of this comprehensive cooperation.

This memorandum signifies a step towards strengthening religious ties between Saudi Arabia and North Macedonia. By focusing on various aspects such as mosque maintenance, Qur'an services, and educational initiatives, both parties aim to foster a deeper connection through shared religious values.
