Ministry Of Commerce Ensures Goods Availability With 19,000 Inspections In Makkah For Ramadan
In a comprehensive effort to ensure consumer rights and the availability of essential goods during the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Commerce's supervisory teams in the Makkah region have carried out an extensive series of inspection tours. These 19,250 inspections spanned a wide array of commercial facilities, including public utility markets, commercial stores, central markets, hypermarkets, as well as specialized outlets such as gold and jewelry stores, gas stations, and service centers located on the roads to Makkah and Madinah.
The primary objective of these inspections was to monitor the stock and quality of Ramadan goods and products, ensuring that commercial establishments adhered to the regulations established by the Ministry of Commerce. This initiative was part of a broader seasonal plan designed for Ramadan and the Umrah season, aiming to safeguard consumer interests and maintain market stability.

As a result of these rigorous inspections, authorities identified 375 violations related to consumer protection regulations. These findings underscore the Ministry's commitment to enforcing compliance among commercial entities, thereby ensuring that consumers have access to safe and suitable goods throughout this significant period.
