Minister Of Transport Inaugurates FedEx Global Head Office In Saudi Arabia To Boost Logistics Operations
Saleh Al-Jasser, the Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Transport General Authority, officially opened FedEx Express's global headquarters for logistics and express transportation in Riyadh. This new office will manage operations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait. The announcement took place during a ceremony in Diriyah, attended by Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih, Vice Minister and Acting President of the Transport General Authority, along with FedEx President & CEO Raj Subramaniam and other dignitaries.
Al-Jasser highlighted that FedEx's expanded presence underscores Saudi Arabia's growing reputation as a prime location for logistics and international investment. He pointed out the Kingdom's increasing role as a vital global logistics hub and strategic trade gateway. The presence of leading logistics companies setting up direct operations in Saudi Arabia reflects the strength of its logistics sector and investment-friendly environment.

The Transport General Authority confirmed that this development includes FedEx launching its first direct air connection to Riyadh from the United States and Europe. The inaugural flight is set to land at King Khalid International Airport tomorrow. Following this, FedEx plans to operate six flights weekly while expanding its integrated logistics services across the Kingdom and the region.
Al-Jasser also noted that the increasing number of global logistics firms establishing operations in Saudi Arabia signifies international confidence in the Kingdom’s transformation under its leadership. This move aligns with Saudi Arabia's vision to enhance its status as a key player in global trade and transport services.
The event was marked by the presence of several senior officials who acknowledged Saudi Arabia's strategic importance in global logistics. The new head office aims to strengthen FedEx's operational capabilities within the region, enhancing service delivery across multiple countries.
