Minister Of Islamic Affairs Signs Executive Program With Grand Mufti Of North Macedonia To Enhance Islamic Cooperation

In Jeddah, an executive program was signed by Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and Hafiz Şakir Fetahu, President of the Islamic Union and Grand Mufti of North Macedonia. This agreement builds on a previous memorandum to enhance cooperation in Islamic fields between Saudi Arabia and North Macedonia.

The program includes initiatives such as training courses for imams, khatibs, and muezzins. It also promotes advocacy programs that focus on moderation, balance, and tolerance within Islam. Additionally, the Islamic Sheikhdom will receive publications from the ministry and the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex in Madinah.

The agreement highlights the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and North Macedonia. It includes plans for scholarly meetings in Madinah and a visit by an imam from one of the two holy mosques to North Macedonia. Invitations to conferences and Quran competitions will also be exchanged under this program.

Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh emphasized that Saudi Arabia is committed to serving Islam globally under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He noted that this cooperation aligns with the Kingdom's efforts to spread authentic Islamic teachings based on the Quran and Sunnah.

Hafiz Şakir Fetahu expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia's leadership in supporting religious and humanitarian activities worldwide. He acknowledged the Kingdom's significant role in serving Islam and Muslims globally.

This collaboration marks a step forward in enhancing Islamic education and fostering mutual understanding between the two nations. The initiatives outlined aim to promote peace and tolerance through shared religious values.
