Minister Of Islamic Affairs Hosts Al-Azhar University President And Dean To Discuss Pilgrim Support
Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, welcomed Dr. Salama Dawood, President of Egypt's Al-Azhar University, and Dr. Ramadan Mohammed Hassan, Dean of the university's College of Islamic Studies for Boys, at the ministry’s Mina office. The meeting highlighted Saudi Arabia's ongoing dedication to serving pilgrims and maintaining the Two Holy Mosques.
Dr. Dawood praised Saudi Arabia's exceptional care for pilgrims, noting its continuous improvements. He affirmed that the Kingdom plays a leading role in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. These efforts are seen as an extension of the prophetic mission to maintain and honour places of worship.

The initiative to host 1,000 pilgrims from Palestinian martyrs' families was commended by Dr. Dawood. This effort is part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program for Hajj and Umrah, implemented by the ministry. He described it as both generous and deeply humanitarian.
Dr. Dawood emphasised that this initiative reflects Saudi Arabia's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. He prayed that these efforts be recorded among the good deeds of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
Dr. Hassan highlighted Saudi Arabia's significant progress in serving the Two Holy Mosques. He noted tangible developments and positive transformations that reflect deep care from the Kingdom’s leadership.
Divine Honour
Dr. Hassan stressed that this sacred responsibility is a divine honour bestowed upon Saudi leadership. It places Saudi Arabia at the forefront of nations serving the Islamic world, showcasing its commitment to religious duties.
The meeting underscored Saudi Arabia's pivotal role in supporting Islamic causes globally while ensuring continuous improvement in services provided to pilgrims visiting holy sites.
