Minister Of Islamic Affairs Engages With Russian Muslim Leader To Enhance Cooperation And Promote Values
Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Al Alsheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, welcomed Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, in Jeddah. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation to support Muslims in Russia and promote values like moderation and tolerance. This visit underscores the Kingdom's dedication to fostering global Islamic collaboration.
Sheikh Al Alsheikh highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote moderation and tolerance under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He emphasized Saudi Arabia's role in assisting Muslim communities worldwide through these efforts.

Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin expressed gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed for their significant contributions to Islam and Muslims globally. He praised their support for Muslim minorities and acknowledged the strengthening religious ties between Russia and Saudi Arabia, which benefit Russian Muslims.
The Chief Mufti also commended Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his role in advancing bilateral relations. He noted recent developments such as visa waivers and increased numbers of Russian pilgrims as signs of deep mutual trust between the two countries.
The meeting concluded with Sheikh Al Alsheikh presenting a deluxe copy of the Holy Quran to Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin. This gesture symbolized the ongoing commitment to fostering cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Islamic institutions worldwide.
