Minister Of Islamic Affairs Launches Annual Ramadan Programs To Support Muslims Globally
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' annual Ramadan programs were launched in Riyadh by Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance. These initiatives aim to support Muslims globally during Ramadan with activities such as breaking the fast, distributing the Holy Quran, and providing dates across 102 countries.
Saudi Arabia's leadership is committed to aiding Muslims worldwide through these programs. The initiatives are designed to enhance Islamic solidarity and promote religious awareness. They ensure that Muslims receive both spiritual and material support during Ramadan.

This year, the Dates Distribution Program will send 700 tons of dates to 102 countries, an increase of 200 tons from last year. The Iftar Program will provide meals in 61 countries for those fasting throughout Ramadan.
The Holy Quran Distribution Program will distribute 1.2 million copies of the Quran to 45 countries. This effort ensures that Muslims in various regions have access to the holy text, reinforcing their connection to their faith.
To further enrich the Ramadan experience globally, 46 imams will be sent to lead Taraweeh and Ramadan prayers in 22 countries. This initiative aims to enhance worship practices during this sacred month.
Encouraging Faith Engagement
A Holy Quran Memorization and Sunnah Competition will take place in 16 West African nations. This competition encourages young Muslims to engage deeply with their faith through memorization and recitation activities.
The ministry has also organized numerous preaching activities: 226,937 in-person events and 238 electronic programs. These include video episodes, motion graphics, and digital content focusing on fasting objectives.
Digital and Educational Resources
Digital initiatives have been expanded with 30 million guidance slides available online. Additionally, there are 70,000 digital copies of the Ramadan calendar and 80,000 digital books accessible for users worldwide.
The ministry has prepared 28 virtual lectures addressing fasting regulations and other religious topics. These lectures aim to educate participants on various aspects of Islamic teachings during Ramadan.
Support for Pilgrims
The Islamic Awareness Services for Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation will offer over 23 million services to more than seven million beneficiaries during Ramadan. This includes educational materials translated into nine languages for diverse pilgrims.
Furthermore, the ministry has allocated 2.5 million printed materials for Umrah visitors. These include books and brochures designed to serve pilgrims from different backgrounds effectively.
These comprehensive efforts reflect Saudi Arabia's dedication to supporting Muslims worldwide during Ramadan through spiritual guidance and material assistance.
