Minister Of Industry And Chinese Counterpart Discuss Enhancing Cooperation In Advanced Industries

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef recently met with Li Lecheng, Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China, during an official visit to China. The discussion focused on expanding industrial partnerships and exploring investment opportunities in advanced sectors. They also examined ways to enhance cooperation in strategic areas like automotive manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals.

The meeting highlighted the importance of supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the industrial sector. Both sides agreed that empowering SMEs is crucial for achieving sustainable development. They discussed exchanging expertise, transferring technology, and qualifying human resources to strengthen these industries further.

Saudi and China Discuss Industrial Cooperation

Saudi Arabia's competitive advantages as an industrial investment destination were also reviewed. The Kingdom offers a strategic geographical location connecting three continents, abundant natural resources, competitive energy prices, advanced infrastructure, and developed industrial cities. These factors make it an attractive option for global investors.

The meeting was attended by several key figures, including Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to China, and Eng. Saleh Al-Solami, CEO of the National Industrial Development Center. Other officials from Saudi Arabia's industry and mining sectors were also present to discuss potential collaborations.

This visit by Minister Alkhorayef aims to expand strategic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China in the industry and mining sectors. It seeks to attract quality investments into the Kingdom by showcasing its promising industrial environment.
