Minister Of Communications Eng. Abdullah Alswaha Meets Global Tech Leaders To Enhance Investment And Innovation

Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, engaged with global tech leaders during the Future Investment Initiative (FII). These discussions aimed to explore partnerships in advanced technologies and strategic investments in digital economy and AI, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030's goals for a sustainable digital economy.

Alswaha held talks with Vimal Kapur, Honeywell's Chairman and CEO, focusing on industrial technologies and smart cities. The discussions also covered sustainable energy and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions to boost production efficiency. This aligns with Saudi Arabia's shift towards a knowledge-based digital economy.

In another meeting, Alswaha met Steven T. Mnuchin, Founder and CEO of Liberty Strategic Capital. They discussed investment opportunities in Saudi startups to promote venture capital growth and entrepreneurship. The focus was on strengthening investment partnerships within the innovation ecosystem to support startup growth and their access to global markets.

Alswaha also engaged with Amjad Masad, Founder and CEO of Replit, about empowering developers through emerging technologies. Their discussion centered on AI agent technologies that enable developers to create intelligent solutions. These innovations aim to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and accelerate automated business model innovation globally.

The minister also met Hussain Sajwani, Founder and Chairman of EDGNEX Data Centers by DAMAC. They explored investment opportunities in developing advanced data centers while enhancing regional and international connectivity. The meeting reviewed cooperation areas for expanding digital infrastructure to attract high-impact investments in the data center sector.

This initiative aims to position Saudi Arabia as a global digital hub by leveraging strategic partnerships and investments in technology sectors. By fostering these collaborations, the Kingdom seeks to build a thriving digital economy aligned with its Vision 2030 objectives.
