Minister Abdulrahman Alfadley Confirms Full Readiness For Environmentally Safe Hajj Season
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is fully prepared for the Hajj season of 1446 AH, according to Minister Abdulrahman Alfadley. The ministry's sectors are well-coordinated to provide top-notch environmental, water, agricultural, and health services to pilgrims. These efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030's goals.
Alfadley recently visited the holy sites and led a meeting at the National Water Company headquarters. During this visit, he assessed the operational plans' completion, ensuring they meet high efficiency standards. The operational system includes projects and programs focused on water supply availability, food safety, air quality, waste management, environmental compliance monitoring, and pest control.

The General Food Security Authority (GFSA) has assured that flour stocks in Makkah and Madinah are sufficient. Additionally, reserve wheat stocks across the Kingdom exceed 1 million tons. This abundance is part of the ministry's strategy to enhance food security during Hajj.
Water supply was a key focus during Alfadley's meeting. He inspected the readiness of projects related to water services for all sectors. This includes production, transportation, storage, distribution, and irrigation. These integrated efforts aim to secure water supply for pilgrims while improving service quality.
As part of national efforts for a successful Hajj season, Alfadley reviewed preparations in Makkah and Madinah branches. These branches supervise private slaughterhouses and public markets. Emergency rooms and logistical services were also evaluated by professionals at these locations.
The minister listened to details about the environmental system's plans to boost food security during Hajj. He emphasized intensifying efforts and using all resources to follow the Kingdom’s leadership directives. This ensures pilgrims receive excellent services for performing rituals smoothly.
Alfadley stressed the importance of providing high-quality services to pilgrims. The ministry aims to make their experience as comfortable as possible by implementing comprehensive strategies across various sectors.
