Military Industries Imdadthon Recognises Three Teams For Innovative Supply Chain Solutions

The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) recently celebrated three teams for their innovative solutions in military supply chain challenges. This recognition marked the end of the "Imdadthon for Developing Technical Solutions in Military Industries' Supply Chains" event. Held over two days in Riyadh, it was organised with the Digital Government Authority's Innovation Hub.

Participants, including GAMI members, industry companies, and students from the National Academy of Military Industries, competed to enhance supply chain efficiency. The event aimed to boost technical innovation and digital transformation while promoting open innovation culture, aligning with localising military industries' goals.

Eng. Ahmad Al-Ohali, GAMI Governor, congratulated the winners and praised all participants for their enthusiasm and promising ideas. He highlighted that these contributions align with Saudi Vision 2030 by advancing the military industries system. Al-Ohali also expressed gratitude to the Digital Government Authority for hosting the event at their Innovation Hub.

The event showcased national integration by fostering a new generation of competitive national capabilities. These capabilities focus on developing technical solutions for military supply chains, enhancing sector efficiency through modern technology and artificial intelligence.

Over two days, participants engaged in lectures, workshops on design thinking, brainstorming sessions, and prototype development. They presented their projects to a judging panel comprising experts and specialists. Two workshops on "Emerging Technologies in Supply Chains" explored opportunities to improve military supply-chain efficiency using modern technology.

During the competition, teams identified challenges using design thinking tools. They defined needs clearly before creating prototypes and implementation methods under mentor guidance. This process culminated in presenting their solutions to a panel of experts.

Acknowledging Achievements

The top three teams received valuable prizes for their achievements. All participants were awarded certificates of appreciation for their active involvement and contributions. Imdadthon highlights GAMI's commitment to adopting advanced technologies as a foundation for developing Saudi Arabia's military industries sector.

This initiative aims to strengthen the sector's role in supporting the national economy while aligning with Saudi Arabia's Digital Transformation Program towards becoming a thriving digital nation.
