Dubai To Host Prestigious Middle East Otolaryngology Conference This April

Dubai is set to be the focal point for the global otorhinolaryngology community with the hosting of the 19th Annual Conference of the Middle East Academy of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. This prestigious event will take place from 19th to 21st April at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. Following closely, the 21st TSESI Sinus Course will occur from 22nd to 24th April 2024 at the Neurology and Spine Hospital in Dubai Science Park. These gatherings are expected to draw over 1,000 medical professionals from 31 countries, aiming to enhance clinical skills, present research findings, and ultimately improve patient care standards.

Dr. Moaz Tarabichi, Co-Chair of the Conference and Chairman of the Organising Committee, highlighted the significant advancements in ear, nose, and throat surgery over recent years. He pointed out the diversity in cases that now cater to patients of all ages with various complexities. The conference agenda is packed with discussions on cutting-edge diagnostic technologies, surgical innovations, and new treatment approaches. Topics include paediatric ENT surgery, rhinoplasty, head and neck surgery, ear surgery with vestibular fixation, ENT audiology, and a specialized workshop on balance disorders.

Otolaryngology Meet in Dubai

Dr. Islam Herzallah, Professor of Rhinoplasty and Chairman of the 19th Conference, shared insights into the conference's scientific programme. It features lectures across all sub-specialities like endoscopic nose and base surgery, auditory implantation, pediatric ENT, facial plastic surgery, sleep surgery, head and neck surgery, vestibular auditory medicine, and rhinology. The programme boasts 141 regional and international speakers from 31 countries.

The subsequent TSESI sinus course at the Neurological and Spine Hospital will include 49 scientific sessions encompassing 235 lectures and 217 pieces of research. Additionally, it will offer specialized workshops on human heads and two seminars for the industrial sector. The event will also host the Heinz Stamberger Research Competition for Residents, selecting 30 resident doctors worldwide for participation. More than 22 leading pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers will support these events as sponsors.
