Menassah Elevates Emirati Books At Key International And Regional Book Fairs

Menassah Distribution Company, a firm committed to enhancing the distribution, marketing, and sales of Emirati books both within the UAE and on a global scale, recently marked its presence at the Tunis International Book Fair 2024. This event is recognized as a significant cultural gathering in North Africa. In addition to its participation in Tunisia, Menassah has been actively showcasing local literary works at two other major events: the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) and the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) 2024.

At the Tunis International Book Fair, which took place from 19th to 28th April at the Exhibition Palace in Al-Karam, Tunis, Menassah set up an independent stand. The fair itself boasted titles from 314 exhibitors hailing from 25 countries, with a total of 2,300 books from 51 member publishing houses. Menassah’s stand featured 374 titles that highlighted the UAE’s diverse and rich Arabic content.

The Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) 2024 stands as one of the largest children’s book fairs in the region. Here, Menassah presented visitors with 410 diverse titles from 40 member publishers, totaling 3,500 books. A notable feature of their presentation was a special corner dedicated to books that have won the ‘Etisalat Children’s Book Award,’ in collaboration with the UAE Board on Books for Young People (UAEBBY).

During the SCRF, Menassah entered into an agreement with UAEBBY to secure a list of books that have received the Etisalat Children’s Book Award since its inception in 2009. This partnership aims to explore distribution opportunities with award-winning publishers and support the growth and enrichment of children’s literature in the Arab world.

Furthermore, Menassah is also making its mark at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which is celebrated as a global cultural platform that fosters reading, culture, and knowledge exchange. At this event, visitors have the opportunity to explore 800 titles from local publishing houses. Similar to its setup at SCRF, there is a special corner at Menassah’s stand dedicated to showcasing winners of the ‘Etisalat Children’s Book Award,’ again in collaboration with UAEBBY.

This series of participations by Menassah Distribution Company at prominent book fairs underscores its dedication to promoting Emirati literature on both local and international stages. Through strategic partnerships and showcasing award-winning works, Menassah aims to enrich the literary landscape and ensure that Emirati voices are heard across the globe.
