Riyadh's Media Oasis Aligns With World Economic Forum Special Meeting

The Ministry of Media is set to host the sixth edition of "Media Oasis" at VIA Riyadh, aligning with the World Economic Forum (WEF) Special Meeting from April 28 to 29. This initiative, launched by the Ministry of Media, aims to enhance the coverage of local and international events through modern technology, fostering creativity, innovation, and excellence. Spanning 1,500 square meters, Media Oasis will feature several major national projects and see participation from a diverse range of entities including the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, the Premium Residency Center, Diriyah Company, ROSHN Company, digital partner Zain KSA, and media partner, the General Authority of Media Regulation.

Media Oasis offers a unique platform for visitors, officials, and media professionals to engage with national projects. It utilizes modern technologies and interactive models for an in-depth exploration of these initiatives. This approach not only provides comprehensive information but also facilitates direct engagement with experts for inquiries, ensuring accurate project representation. The showcase includes interactive models employing advanced technologies to offer an unconventional exploration of major Kingdom projects, especially within the context of the WEF.

Media Oasis & WEF in Riyadh

The upcoming edition is anticipated to attract over 700 visitors, including officials from various regional and international countries attending the WEF. Additionally, more than 150 media outlets and journalists worldwide are expected to participate. This marks a significant milestone as the sixth edition of Media Oasis follows five successful editions held in 2023 across three different countries with both local and international participation.

The inaugural edition took place alongside the 32nd Arab Summit in Jeddah on May 18-19, 2023. Subsequent editions were aligned with notable events such as the annual Grand Hajj Symposium from June 20 to 22, 2023, and the G20 Leaders' Summit in New Delhi from September 9 to 11, 2023. This edition also coincided with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud's official visit to India. The fourth and fifth editions were held in Riyadh during significant summits and in Paris, respectively, highlighting Riyadh's selection as the host city for World Expo 2030 from November 26-28, 2023.

Through initiatives like Media Oasis, the Ministry of Media underscores its commitment to leveraging technology for enhancing media coverage and providing comprehensive insights into national projects. This not only supports media professionals in their work but also enriches the general public's understanding of significant developments within the Kingdom.
