Minister Salman Al-Dossary Launches Media Dialogue Initiative To Enhance Collaboration Among Professionals
The Minister of Media, Salman Al-Dossary, introduced a new media dialogue initiative on Sunday. This initiative is part of the Year of Impact initiatives and serves as a sustainable platform for discussions among media professionals and specialists. It aims to highlight development opportunities, tackle media challenges, and foster local partnerships among government entities, private sector players, and individuals.
Regular meetings will be held between the minister and local media professionals. These include podcast creators, sports and talk show hosts, gaming content creators, managers of specialized and news accounts, officials from media companies, sports commentators and analysts, YouTube content creators, producers, directors, opinion writers, and journalists.

The inaugural meeting occurred yesterday at "the Stage" theatre in Riyadh. The event was attended by the minister, media leaders, and over 30 podcast specialists. Presentations highlighted media projects and initiatives with a focus on podcasting in the Kingdom. Key data and services from the General Authority of Media Regulation were also showcased.
During this gathering, the minister announced two initiatives from the Saudi Media Academy aimed at podcasters. The first initiative offers intensive training for beginners in various areas such as presentation skills, editing techniques, preparation methods, lighting setups, audio engineering basics, entrepreneurship insights, and marketing strategies.
The second initiative provides development programs for experienced podcasters. These programs are conducted in collaboration with both local and international institutions to enhance their skills further. This effort is designed to support podcasters in advancing their careers by offering them access to advanced training resources.
Attendees expressed their appreciation for the meeting's value in strengthening professional relationships. They noted that it facilitated the exchange of views and expertise while providing a forum to discuss future improvements and growth opportunities within the media industry.
This initiative not only aims to address current challenges but also seeks to advance media communication through knowledge exchange. By fostering partnerships across different sectors, it hopes to create a more integrated approach to media development in Saudi Arabia.
