Hiring Alert! Medacs Healthcare Plans Recruiting 1,000 Health Workers For Saudi Arabia By 2025

Medacs Healthcare is actively addressing the growing demand for international health workers in Saudi Arabia, following a wave of successful recruitment drives in London which will see numerous consultant doctors and nurses commence work in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Taif shortly. This initiative is part of a broader effort to fulfill Saudi Arabia's healthcare sector's needs, with a commitment to meeting a target of 1,000 new hires by 2025 through additional hiring events planned across Europe and Australia.

The healthcare landscape in Saudi Arabia is currently facing a significant challenge, as identified by Colliers International's latest report. It states that by 2030, the nation will require an additional 175,000 medical professionals, including 69,000 doctors and 64,000 nurses, to cater to its expanding population. The Saudisation policy, which mandates that 60% of job vacancies be filled by Saudi nationals, further underscores the urgency and scale of the staffing requirement.

The company's growth in the Middle East over the past five years has been remarkable, tripling in size largely due to its success in volume recruitment for major UAE healthcare groups. This was achieved through hosting in-person interviewing events in the UK and other primary source regions. Medacs' presence will continue at the Global Health Exhibition at the Riyadh Convention Centre from October 21 to 23, 2024, where they will engage further with healthcare providers and professionals.

Medacs Healthcare has established itself as a leader in global healthcare staffing, successfully placing around 8,000 international healthcare workers each year across the Middle East, the UK, Ireland, and Australasia. Its proficiency in managing large-scale recruitment projects was notably demonstrated during the Covid pandemic when it coordinated the UK Department of Health and Care's largest-ever healthcare managed service, recruiting nearly 9,000 laboratory staff in a remarkably short timeframe.

Expanding into Saudi Arabia

Having recruited staff for the Gulf regions for many years through its Arabic-speaking teams in Dubai and London, Medacs has recently embarked on extensive hiring initiatives for Saudi Arabia. This effort aligns with the kingdom's ambitious Vision 2030, which aims to revolutionize healthcare delivery and quality. "We are immensely proud to have the global reach and local expertise needed to support the transformation of Saudi Arabia's healthcare sector.

In line with the 2030 Vision the kingdom is revolutionising the delivery and quality of healthcare services and will need thousands of skilled workers to realise their national health goals," said Rebecca Watson, CEO of Medacs Global Group.

Medacs has already achieved significant progress in this endeavour, securing employment offers for consultant doctors in various specialties and establishing a robust pipeline of over 500 qualified and pre-assessed nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals.

These candidates are poised for interviews at forthcoming hiring events in key cities including London, Dublin, Germany, France, Sweden, and Sydney. Watson emphasized her commitment to this cause, stating, "I'll be at Global Health, on my third visit to Saudi Arabia this year, meeting with more healthcare providers in the region to discuss how we can support their rapidly rising workforce needs."

By leveraging its global network and expertise, Medacs is poised to make a substantial contribution to the kingdom's healthcare transformation in alignment with Vision 2030, ensuring the availability of skilled medical professionals to meet the nation's future health care needs.
