MBZUH Postdoctoral Fellowship Opens Applications For 2026 Cohort
Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities is opening applications for its Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program from 1 to 31 March 2026. The programme targets early-career scholars in the humanities and social sciences. It supports advanced research, links projects to the university’s academic mission, and strengthens the wider scholarly network connected with the United Arab Emirates.
According to Dr. Najla Mohammed Al Naqbi, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the initiative is closely tied to national research goals and institutional development. Dr. Al Naqbi stated that the Research Fellowship Program demonstrates the university’s long-term support for rigorous scholarship through specialised academic pathways. "The programme represents the university's strategic expansion of postdoctoral opportunities, offering courses that prepare scholars for intellectual leadership and enable them to achieve balance across intellectual, professional, and personal dimensions," she said.

The Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program at Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities is structured around several research priorities. These include increasing high-quality peer-reviewed publications under the university’s affiliation and deepening international collaboration through exchanges with visiting researchers. The programme also seeks stronger partnerships with regional and global institutions while advancing understanding of priority topics linked to the UAE and the university’s strategic focus areas.
Programme organisers note that fellows will contribute to a dynamic research culture by sharing findings with colleagues and students across humanities and social sciences disciplines.
