Mohamed Bin Zayed University Partners With Global Peace Foundation For Strategic Initiatives

The Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities (MBZUH) and the Global Peace Foundation Indonesia have agreed to explore strategic cooperation in areas of mutual interest. This collaboration aligns with MBZUH's goal to strengthen partnerships with prestigious regional and international organisations, aiming to enhance research and scientific capabilities across various fields.

During a recent visit, a delegation from the Global Peace Foundation Indonesia, led by its president Dr. Shafruddin Campo, was welcomed by Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of MBZUH, at the university's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The delegation was briefed on the university’s academic and scientific programs as well as initiatives aimed at bridging cultures and enhancing human knowledge based on Islamic principles.

MBZUH Joins Forces with Global Peace Foundation

The visit concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), covering a broad range of activities for cooperation, partnership, and exchange of expertise in various areas of common interest. The MoU includes provisions for scholarships for students nominated by the foundation, familiarization trips, cultural and scientific activities, and joint community service projects.

MBZUH highlighted its initiatives related to promoting peace and coexistence, strengthening ties between different countries by fostering human fraternity and better cultural understanding. Both institutions also agreed to undertake joint studies and research, publish scholarly articles, exchange books and relevant publications in various languages.

Dr. Al Dhaheri commented on the occasion, emphasising that this partnership supports the university’s vision of promoting peace, tolerance, and coexistence. He stated, "From the onset, Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities have advocated for these principles through its academic programs, scientific conferences and partnerships with like-minded institutions from all over the world."

Future Prospects

Dr. Al Dhaheri further added that this memorandum will pave the way for cooperation and exchange of scientific, intellectual, and cultural experiences between both sides. He expressed optimism that this is just the beginning and anticipates future joint initiatives.

The terms of the memorandum also include exploring other mutually beneficial initiatives in the future. This collaboration aims to translate their united vision into meaningful initiatives that support common principles and values.

This strategic cooperation marks a significant step towards enhancing academic excellence while promoting global peace through education and cultural exchange.
