MBZUAI Invites Applications For NextGen Winter Programme 2025 For UAE High School Students
The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) has opened registration for its NextGen Winter Programme. This two-week educational initiative aims to enhance AI literacy among high school students in the UAE. Scheduled from 8th to 19th December 2025 at the university's campus, it offers hands-on AI learning through workshops and group challenges.
Students in Grades 10–12 from UAE schools can apply. Applicants must show English proficiency, an interest in AI, strong academics, and commit to attending the entire programme. The programme is co-educational and conducted in English, requiring students to bring their own laptops.

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate. Top teams in group projects will earn recognition and prizes. Rawdha AlMeraikhi, Director of Outreach at MBZUAI, stated, "The NextGen Winter Programme reflects our commitment to empowering the youth of the UAE with early exposure to the knowledge and skills shaping the future."
This winter edition follows a successful summer programme that attracted 38 top students from over 150 applicants across the UAE. The summer event highlighted a growing interest among young people in AI and emerging technologies. This aligns with MBZUAI’s mission to develop national talent for future-ready roles.
The deadline for registering for the NextGen Winter Programme is set for 19th November 2025. This initiative supports nurturing future innovators who will contribute significantly to science, technology, and knowledge-based sectors in the UAE.
