MBRGI Launches Campaign To Prepare 10 Million Meals For Humanitarian Ship Supporting Gaza
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) has initiated a campaign to support the Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship. This effort, in collaboration with UAE's Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, aims to provide over 10 million meals to displaced individuals in Gaza. The initiative seeks to alleviate suffering and address urgent needs.
Community members are encouraged to volunteer for meal preparation at an event on 7th December at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City. Interested individuals can register at www.MBRship.ae. This event is part of a broader effort to engage the community in humanitarian activities.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary-General of MBRGI, highlighted the significance of the Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship. He stated, "The Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship is a symbol of the boundless generosity that defines the UAE and its leadership. It stands as a testament to our leadership’s belief that solidarity can turn pain into hope, and that alleviating the suffering of those in need is a driving force for a better life for all."
Al Gergawi further emphasised the UAE's dedication to humanitarian causes, guided by leadership directives to support Palestinians. He noted that the UAE community is united in its efforts to aid and spread goodwill, confident that many will participate in this campaign.
The humanitarian ship continues MBRGI's commitment announced in January 2024, pledging AED43 million (US$11.7 million) for direct food aid with the World Food Programme (WFP). This initiative aims to benefit one million people in Gaza, reinforcing a legacy of generosity.
In 2023, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum directed MBRGI to provide AED50 million in urgent aid for Palestinians. Additionally, Dubai Humanitarian sent an urgent relief shipment via Egypt's El Arish port in September 2024, delivering 71.6 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Gaza.
Al Gergawi expressed confidence that volunteers will dedicate themselves to improving lives for displaced people in Gaza and bringing joy to thousands of children. The campaign reflects a collective effort towards making a positive impact on those affected by displacement.
