MBRF Highlights Bil Arabi Initiative At The 10th Istanbul International Arabic Book Fair

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) is taking part in the 10th Istanbul International Arabic Book Fair. This event, themed ‘Arabic Lives On’, is scheduled from 9th to 17th August 2025 at the Yenikapı Exhibition Center in Istanbul, Turkey. MBRF's involvement underscores its dedication to enhancing its presence at key knowledge forums globally.

MBRF’s participation aligns with its mission to promote innovative projects like the Bil Arabi initiative. This initiative aims to elevate the global status of the Arabic language, increase its use on social media, and strengthen its role as a driver for knowledge and innovation. It also provides specialised resources for teaching Arabic, especially to non-native speakers.

The Bil Arabi initiative positions Arabic as a cultural bridge connecting generations with their rich heritage. Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, stated, "Our participation in the Istanbul International Arabic Book Fair highlights our commitment to attending international knowledge forums annually to promote our initiatives and projects. This contributes to seamless knowledge sharing and supports the sustainable development of communities."

He further explained that their goal is to strengthen Arab identity by showcasing the beauty of the Arabic language. Initiatives are aimed at improving linguistic research and translating global works into Arabic. These efforts aim to broaden opportunities for Arab youth and support innovation in Arabic digital content through strategic partnerships.

During the fair, MBRF will host meetings with stakeholders focused on promoting the Arabic language. They will also engage in knowledge-centric activities with their strategic partner, the Istanbul Academy. These interactions are designed to foster collaboration and enhance expertise exchange for better knowledge dissemination.

The Istanbul International Arabic Book Fair is a significant cultural event for Arabs in Turkey. It brings together around 300 publishers from over 20 countries, along with universities, schools, and civil society organisations. The fair is recognised as the largest gathering of its kind outside the Arab world.

This event is endorsed by the Arab Publishers’ Association and serves as an important platform for cultural and intellectual exchange within the Arab community in Turkey.
