Dubai's MBR Aerospace Hub And Tim Aerospace Initiate Construction Of GCC's Largest MRO Hangar

The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) in Dubai, a pivotal platform for the aviation industry's growth, alongside Tim Aerospace, recently initiated the construction of a new hangar at Dubai South. This development marks a significant step forward in enhancing the region's Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) capabilities. The facility, poised to be among the largest for wide-body aircraft MRO services in the GCC, will accommodate up to five wide-body aircraft simultaneously, with the exception of the A-380.

The groundbreaking event saw the presence of notable figures such as Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, and Timor Shah Shahab, Founder and CEO of Tim Aerospace. Senior executives from both entities also attended this milestone occasion. The hangar is projected to be operational by 2025, aiming to offer top-tier and cost-effective base maintenance services for a variety of commercial passenger and cargo aircraft, both wide and narrow-body.

GCC's Largest MRO Hangar Underway in Dubai

Tahnoon Saif, CEO of Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Tim Aerospace. He highlighted the significant demand for MRO services in the region and its anticipated growth. Saif emphasized the aviation sector's crucial role in Dubai's economic development and reiterated MBRAH's commitment to bolstering Dubai's status as a leading global aviation city.

Timor Shah Shahab shared his optimistic outlook on the sector's future, attributing it to the government's strategic vision and the superior infrastructure offered by MBRAH. He thanked the MBRAH team for their support and expressed eagerness to serve the regional aviation sector's distinguished clientele.

As a free-zone destination situated within Dubai South, it hosts world-class airlines, private jet companies, MROs, and related industries. The hub also features maintenance centres along with training and education campuses, further solidifying its position as a cornerstone of the aviation industry in Dubai.
