Mawhiba Foundation Drives Global Excellence And Domestic Growth For Saudi Youth Talent
Saudi Arabia's youth have achieved significant success internationally, winning 107 awards across 25 competitions in the past year. The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, known as Mawhiba, has been instrumental in nurturing this talent. Domestically, Mawhiba's programs have engaged over 582,000 students, showcasing the Kingdom's commitment to fostering young talent.
The National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity saw a record-breaking number of over 210,000 applicants this year. Meanwhile, the Mawhoop Competition attracted 37,720 participants. The Kangaroo Mawhiba Math Competition had 42,702 students involved. Additionally, the Bebras Mawhiba Informatics Competition and the National Olympiad for Programming and AI (ATHKA) drew 32,094 and 260,308 participants respectively.

Mawhiba has expanded its international presence by participating in five new Olympiads. These include the International Nuclear Science Olympiad and the International Avicenna Olympiad in Biology. Other events are the International Astronomy Olympiad, the International Specifications Olympiad, and the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad.
Through these efforts, Mawhiba has identified 28,265 talented students and sponsored more than 100,000 students. This initiative highlights Saudi Arabia's dedication to promoting a culture of innovation among its youth.
Mawhiba conducted summer enrichment programs across 16 cities to further develop student skills. It also collaborated with 155 schools to offer specialized "Mawhiba Classes," enhancing educational opportunities for gifted students.
Beyond education programs, Mawhiba has demonstrated a commitment to quality and sustainability by earning four international ISO certifications. These certifications cover quality management, environment management, risk management, and occupational health and safety.
These achievements underscore Saudi Arabia's focus on cultivating excellence among its young population. The Kingdom continues to invest in initiatives that support creativity and innovation within its educational framework.
