Mawani and Petrotank Sign Refueling Hub Agreement

This project aligns with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy's goals to make Saudi Arabia a global logistics hub. Fuel tanks are crucial for offering valuable logistical services to ships, boosting vessel traffic, and enhancing port competitiveness regionally and globally.

Mawani President Eng. Suliman Almazroua commented on the agreement: "This collaboration with Petrotank reflects Mawani’s commitment to enhancing the attractiveness and competitiveness of Saudi ports through the expansion of services provided to shipping lines."

The new refueling centre represents a significant advancement in fuel storage and bunkering services. It aims to attract more vessels, improve operational efficiency, and support commercial traffic growth, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives for the logistics sector.

Mawani's efforts focus on increasing Saudi ports' competitiveness by expanding services offered to shipping lines. This initiative is part of their broader strategy to enhance regional and global port competitiveness.

Strategic Partnership with Petrotank

Currently, Petrotank operates a fuel station at King Fahad Industrial Port in Yanbu. This facility includes eight tanks with a combined storage capacity of 114,000 cubic meters, playing a vital role in supporting ship operations.

The ongoing partnership between Mawani and Petrotank highlights their commitment to developing infrastructure that supports higher vessel traffic. This collaboration is crucial for achieving strategic goals within the logistics sector.
