Masdar To Establish New Global Headquarters At The Link Project In Abu Dhabi
Masdar City, a hub for innovation and sustainability in Abu Dhabi, has revealed plans for Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) to establish its global headquarters at The Link. This 30,000-square-metre development integrates living and working spaces with advanced technology. The announcement was made during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), which gathers global leaders to promote sustainable development and socioeconomic progress.
The Link is a vital part of Masdar City's blueprint for sustainable urban growth. It adheres to strict sustainability standards and is set to be completed in 2025. This mixed-use project includes five commercial and residential buildings. Notably, it will feature the first net-zero energy shared working and living facilities in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Mahmoud Al Hosani, Executive Director of Finance and Support Services at Masdar City, stated, "Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) move to establish its headquarters at The Link is a strong endorsement of Masdar City's value proposition for businesses seeking a sustainable and innovative environment. The relocation reinforces the shared commitment of the two entities to driving sustainable development in the UAE and globally."
Tareq Al Qubali, Executive Director of People and Corporate Services at Masdar, expressed that relocating to this state-of-the-art development reaffirms their dedication to innovation and sustainability. He said, "By relocating to this state-of-the-art, net-zero energy development, we are not only reaffirming our commitment to innovation and sustainability but also demonstrating the synergy between our vision and the values that Masdar City embodies. This move will serve as a foundation for us to continue driving impactful change locally, regionally, and globally."
The Link is designed as a central hub connecting various transport modes within Masdar City. It aims to create a vibrant community by integrating offices, residential areas, co-working spaces, a visitor centre, and a multi-use hall. This setup caters to diverse demographics.
Environmental Standards
The development incorporates innovative design features aimed at reducing its environmental impact. It is being constructed according to LEED Platinum, WELL Gold, 4 Pearl PBRS Estidama, and LEED SmartPark Silver standards.
This strategic move by Masdar highlights its commitment to fostering an environment that supports sustainable practices while promoting economic growth in the UAE.
