Marvels Of Saudi Orchestra In AlUla Under Culture Minister Patronage

"The Marvels of Saudi Orchestra" is scheduled in AlUla on 22 and 23 January, under the patronage of Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Music Commission Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan. The Music Commission plans two evenings that place Saudi music at the centre of a high-profile cultural setting.

The concerts will take place on two successive nights inside Maraya Concert Hall, which is widely known for its mirrored exterior and modern design. This landmark venue, surrounded by AlUla’s landscape, is expected to provide a striking visual setting that supports the musical experience for audiences.

Marvels of Saudi Orchestra in AlUla

Selecting Maraya Concert Hall for "The Marvels of Saudi Orchestra" in AlUla underlines the link between art and the natural environment in the region. The hall is viewed as a contemporary architectural model that brings performers and spectators into close contact with the surrounding desert scenery.

AlUla itself is described as one of the world’s leading cultural and tourism destinations, with history stretching back centuries. Its archaeological sites and long-standing cultural heritage attract many international visitors, and the location now serves as an important cultural hub that highlights the breadth of the Kingdom’s identity.

The Music Commission’s organisation of "Marvels of Saudi Orchestra– AlUla" extends the ongoing activities of the Saudi National Orchestra and Choir. This ensemble has already presented Saudi musical traditions on leading stages within the Kingdom and abroad, and the AlUla performances represent a further step in this continuing artistic journey.

The Saudi National Orchestra and Choir has previously appeared in several international capitals and major cities, carrying Saudi melodies to respected venues and receiving strong audience interaction. By bringing "The Marvels of Saudi Orchestra" to AlUla, the Music Commission aims to strengthen the presence of Saudi music, display the Kingdom’s cultural and artistic variety, and offer residents and visitors a musical event that reflects Saudi identity and supports the wider national cultural scene.
