Mansour Bin Zayed Chairs UAE Delegation At The 46th GCC Summit In Bahrain
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representing President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, led the UAE delegation at the 46th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit. This summit, hosted by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, saw participation from leaders of GCC states. The event also included a joint session with Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who was the guest of honour.
The UAE delegation comprised several key figures: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Deputy Minister of State; and Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Alameri, UAE Ambassador to Bahrain.
The joint GCC–Italian session focused on enhancing cooperation between the GCC countries and Italy. Discussions aimed at expanding partnerships to benefit both sides and support their peoples' aspirations for growth and prosperity. This collaboration seeks to open new avenues for joint initiatives that align with mutual interests.
The UAE expressed gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for Bahrain's successful hosting of the summit. The UAE praised Bahrain's dedication to advancing the GCC framework for collaborative efforts. Additionally, appreciation was extended to Kuwait for its leadership during the previous GCC session.
The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to supporting collective Gulf action as a crucial element in promoting the interests and aspirations of GCC states. The focus remains on consolidating security, stability, development, and prosperity across the region. Building on past achievements is seen as essential for future integration.
The UAE highlighted its dedication to continuing support for GCC cooperation due to shared historical ties and common destiny among member states. Recognising significant potential within these nations is key to enhancing joint efforts and achieving strategic goals that benefit their citizens.

The UAE conveyed best wishes to Bahrain in leading the current session and acknowledged the contributions made by ministers and officials in organising the summit. The efforts of Their Highnesses and Excellencies were commended alongside those of the Secretary-General of the GCC and its General Secretariat.
"The achievements realised represent an important addition to the Council’s journey," stated a UAE representative. "They provide a strong foundation for enhancing cooperation in the next phase." This sentiment underscores optimism about future collaborations within the GCC framework.
